Light
A rectangle of light from a 1 x 12 metre roof slot turns across the entrance hall floor like a sundial.
A black granite cube that sums up a corporate identity in a single form: one horizontal ribbon window and a double-height hall where light falls.
The client asked for a building that expresses “the seriousness of the firm”. Our answer was a flawless 24-metre cube clad in flamed black granite, opened by a single horizontal ribbon window.
The entrance hall is double height and entirely dark; light enters only through the narrow roof slot and moves across the floor through the day.
